This is the largest of all the islands. It is wooded, mountainous and has a fairly indented coastline. Like its neighbor Koh Rong Salem, it is developing rapidly. Today, a dozen hotels share the European and Asian markets. For the moment, the structures are rather modest, focusing on a balance between comfort and respect for nature. A paved road now crosses the island, making it easy to explore simply by renting a motorcycle. Hurry, there's talk of an airport, which neither we nor the locals welcome. A ferry links the island to Sihanoukville twice a day.
