A beautiful beach popular with families because of its shallow water and its waves that are not tumultuous.
This beautiful beach stretches almost 4 km between Oak Bluffs and Edgartown along the Beach Road. On one side of the road you can see the ocean, on the other side is the Sengekontacket Pond, a pond that attracts many birds. The parking lot is quickly full in season, so arrive early. The beach is very popular with families because the water is not very deep and the waves are not tumultuous. It is here that a large part of the Jaws beach scenes were filmed.
