HARVARD UNIVERSITY
The campus of the oldest and most prestigious university in the country, which students take us on guided tours.
Founded in 1636, it is the oldest university in the country, and the most famous one as well. Its access is the subject of serious competition, with tens of thousands of students trying their luck every year, despite its extremely high price (around US$45,000 per year). The admission rate is less than 6%. Once admitted, students can get scholarships, or take out loans that they will repay when they work. Harvard students receive an average annual salary of US$60,000 after graduation, which can quickly increase once their careers are launched. Most students live on campus, especially undergraduate students. Most of the dormitories are located around Harvard Yard, which is the epicenter of university life.
Many political figures, as well as people from the fields of arts, technology and science, have attended Harvard. It has produced the largest number of presidents of the United States: John Adams, John Quincy Adams, Rutherford B. Hayes, Theodore Roosevelt, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, John F. Kennedy and Barack Obama. Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg and Natalie Portman also attended Harvard.
To make sure you don't miss anything about Harvard and to gain access to places that are usually off-limits to the public, the best way is to take a free, student-led tour of the campus. Visit the Harvard Information Center.
