THE DEMUTH FOUNDATION

It was in this house that lived and worked the painter Charles Demuth (1883-1935), the pioneer of the précisionniste movement, characterized by a cubist but figurative representation of landscapes for most industrial. In the 1920 s, his series of portraits, collages of objects, letters and numbers, announced the upcoming achievements of pop art. The museum organizes various exhibitions around its works and those of its contemporaries.
