Zoo that houses over 2,700 animals belonging to 435 different species, and is part of the beautiful Rock Creek Park.

Founded in 1891, the zoo is home to more than 2,700 animals of 435 different species (one third of which are in danger of extinction). The stars of the zoo are undoubtedly the giant pandas: the couple Mei Xiang and Tian Tian, and their little one born in 2015, named Bei Bei by the Obama couple. In the summer of 2019, the indoor pandas enclosure was closed because Mei Xiang showed signs of pregnancy, but the outdoor park, where pandas can roam freely, remained open. The walk is pleasant whether you are interested in animals or not, because the zoo is part of the magnificent Rock Creek Park. So we meet a lot of joggers inside the zoo.

Promenade au Zoo
Super agréable lieu, pour se promener dans la verdure et le calme tout en séjournant à Washington ! Et bien sûr, beaucoup 'animaux pour les grands et les petits !!

Un zoo très intéressant, avec de nombreuses espèces. Gratuit et pas très éloigné du métro, on peut venir y passer la journée avec en prime les pandas surveillés de très près. A faire absolument car l'endroit est vraiment plaisant!!!

Très chouette parc zoologique, l'un des derniers gratuits aux Etats-Unis. Malgré la chaleur, tous les animaux étaient visibles. Sympathique break dans la ville situé dans un quartier sympatique. Des fontaines à eau nombreuses à partager avec les oiseaux.
