About 130 kilometers from the northeast entrance of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming, Cody is the gateway to the beautiful park. The road is also famous for being particularly panoramic. But while waiting to explore the oldest (but also the most beautiful) park in the country, plan a small stop in Cody's "cowboy" town. You'll notice it very quickly, here's all around the famous Buffalo Bill. In 1901, he founded the city, located 1,835 meters above sea level on a plateau overlooking the Shoshoni River. Take the time to stroll along the main street of the small town center that focuses most of the shops and restaurants and then explore the city's western heritage. Among the essentials, plan a few hours of exploration of the incredible Buffalo Bill Historical Center and walk into the small historic village of Old Trail Town. In summer, don't miss the Cody Nite Rodeo, rodeo competitions organized every evening from June to September.
