Nestled between the Ocean and the coastal mountain chain, Cannon Beach is known for its wooded headlands and fine sandy beaches.Less popular than Seaside, more sophisticated and more expensive, Cannon Beach is also the most charming and pleasant seaside resort on the coast. She even comes from Carmel, California, when the sun shines. It owes its name to the barrel failed on the beach during the shipwreck of the American Shark Schooner in 1846 (the exhibit is exposed to the east of the city on the US 101).
