Californian artist Bob Stokes honoured Port Angeles with some sculptures mainly installed in Avenue of the People (alias North Laurel Street) on sidewalks. They represent bodies, marine creatures or objects. This art in the street has sparked numerous controversies in its early stages, including the tête bodies, made from living models: the residents of Port Angeles.
