LE KARIBUNI
Read morePinel islet is a postcard site: turquoise water, coconut trees to shelter from the sun... Karibuni means "welcome" in Swahili. The place has become a must on the island and the regulars meet here on weekends. Barbecues, ceviche, tartars, tapas and large salads are on the menu every day. The star dish is of course lobster. The fish salads are excellent. After lunch, the deckchairs are ready to give you a siesta. The atmosphere is relaxed and you are always welcomed with a smile over an old rum.
YELLOW BEACH
Read moreIt's always a change of scenery to take the boat and find yourself on an island that's both very natural and very festive. On the program: a quick photo with the iguanas, a tour of the islet and a visit to the second, wilder beach, followed by a swim in the turquoise waters of Pinel. When it's time for lunch, we sit down to dinner under the straw huts. The setting is enchanting. Choose from exotic salads or fish flavored with local spices. And why not continue lounging on a deckchair, accompanied by an old rum that, at 30°C, calls for a siesta.
