THÉÂTRE ALEXANDRINSKI

Built by the neoclassical architect Carlo Rossi, this magnificent theatre, founded in 1756 and inaugurated in August 1832, played a considerable role in the dissemination of the Russian classical repertoire. It is considered to be the oldest national theatre in Russia. In the summer, it lends its stage to ballet performances. The new stage was inaugurated in 2013, and then it was the turn of the space "The Roof" (in 2016) dedicated to concerts and film screenings.
