Situated on the A838 between Lazy Crofter and the Tourist Office, this campsite enjoys a superb view. The location on the coast is impressive and you can pitch your tent for free in the off-season (showers and toilets closed). In season, it is better to book in advance if you need electricity. The campsite also has a good small pub-restaurant with the same name. Its menu has a good choice and is reasonably priced. The decoration is quite typical and warm, with wood, brick and a billiard table.

This excellent bed & breakfast is located near Smoo Cave, close to hiking trails and sandy beaches. The three rooms are single, double or twin and all have a private shower and toilet, as well as beautiful solid wood furniture, practical storage space, the traditional courtesy tray and free wi-fi. You really feel at home here and the hosts know how to make you feel at ease. There is also a living-dining room where it is possible to sit down to read a book or watch a film and a terrace.

Just a stone's throw from the Smoo Caves, this SYHA hostel may not look like a military barracks, but it has all the classic facilities on offer, with dormitories, private rooms, a kitchen and a living-dining room. A total of 30 beds are available. The establishment also has its own bar, which will allow you to enjoy local beers or whiskies in the evening, in the living room, under the heat of the coal stove.

Signposted at the eastern entrance of the village, this small hotel is a nice address where you also come to have a drink or a bite to eat at the bar, which is open to all. Live music is regularly played there. The rooms are double or twin and two of them share a bathroom and are generally intended for families. The others have their private amenities and the whole is quite modern and well laid out, some with a view of Loch Eriboll. The staff is helpful and there are some nice views.
