This is probably the second most popular pub in Dumfries with the Cavens Arms. Housed in a former Methodist church with a temple-like feel, many of the old features remain, including the balcony that overlooks the room. A member of the Wetherspoon chain, the space is a bit smaller than its counterparts across the country, which isn't a bad thing for the atmosphere in general. Wetherspoon has its own app that allows you to order and pay from your smartphone.
