It is probably one of the most picturesque parts of Edinburgh's old town, but because of its rather isolated location, it is rarely visited by tourists. In the beautiful restored buildings of this inner courtyard dating back to the th century, the Royal horse inn and a former tavern, the White horse Inn, were used to rest in London.
