One of my favorite walking tour of all time! Our tour guide Ben was fantastic; he's very funny and charasmatic but super informative as well. Super well planned route too. Learned a lot from the tour and would highly recommend others to join this tour. 11/10
Visita super recomendada! Andrew nuestro guía nos dio un tour increíble y con muchos datos interesantes, un genio! Nos encanto la experiencia! Vale mucho la pena
My wife and I were only visiting Edinburgh for a day or so in the midst of a whirlwind tour of the UK. However, she expressed an interest in setting aside time to see The Real Mary King's Close as it was a way to see a piece of Edinburgh's history we might not otherwise get to. We are not typically ones for elaborate tours but the reviews at Mary King's Close were good and the cost was not prohibitive so we sprung for it on a whim.
Ultimately, what started as something spontaneous turned into one of the highlights of our trip. The way the history of Edinburgh was brought to life, the general attention to detail and attentiveness of everyone present, and in particular the guidance of Natalia as we moved through the close were exceptional. When my wife asked what my thoughts were I told her that the next time a friend or family member plans to visit Edinburgh my recommendation would be to check out The Real Mary King's Close.
Absolutely lovely time. Thank you to everyone who made this an experience we will remember.
Une expérience sympa et immersive, peut être un peu chère.
Le tour aurait été plus compréhensif si il était fait dans l'autre sens, en commençant par la ruelle, avant d'aller dans les bâtiments.
It was really good. Alexander kept the whole experience interesting and dynamic at the same time. I would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city!
1 hr of enjoyment and fun historical stories. Talia was fantastic and provided interesting information. I know there are other close visits but “the real” in the name is what was important to us - we wanted to hear factually relevant stories (or best as historical facts can be accurate) while being entertained. Being able to see the close walls and height was impressive. The rooms that were setup were nicely done.
I read reviews saying 5 star so my expectations were high, and it is a little expensive but was still very pleased with the number of rooms we got to see. Hopefully they will eventually add a few more to further extend the architecture of this interesting place.
We went on 13/04 and had the lovely Andrew L as our guide. It was absolutely fantastic and he had us skitting with laughter the whole time. He blended history and humour expertly and gave us a tour we'll be recommending to everyone!
We booked on the day of with no bother but it is something you'd want to book ahead of time. Would recommend to anyone visiting Edinburgh :)
We did the tour on Thursday with the kids. Very interesting to learn about this period of time. Special thanks to Natalia, our guide who really makes the difference : she is a great interpretor, lots of energy and she makes everything so you have a great moment.
It was incredible, definitely one of the highlights of my trip to Edinburgh! Ben, our tour guide, was lovely and made the entire experience even better. I would heavily recommend
It is a visit unmissable, the atmosphere is incredible, all your senses are palate and very well imagine how could be life at the time.
Unlike the previous opinion, I did not have a problem with the audioguide I could hear properly and without charge (I had made 48h in advance online reservation and counter the day visit one gave us the audioguide without supplement).
Even a good English level, it was quite difficult to include guide who had an accent than pronounced more!
This underground part of the city is visited only one guide. The problem if you are not bilingual or have trouble with the Scottish accent is that you can take (with supplement) the audioguide. Nothing and there will be done to facilitate life... the guide speak more extremely than the device, stages to be followed badly signposted and guide will advance you more quickly than the audioguide... People come from the D- being feel passed off the visit... which is not given!

Visite à faire. On voit la ville différemment après
