As soon as one penetrates there, one is impressed by the hall with the Gothic arches. Great elegance of the materials and the colors, rooms comfortable, good restaurant specialized in pimientos piquillos, cod dish prepared according to the tradition of Rioja.
PARADOR DE SANTO DOMINGO BERNARDO DE FRESNEDA
Read moreLocated in the San Francisco Convent (a building dating from the 12th century), 400 metres from the historic centre, it is the second Parador of the city. The building is divided into three parts, with the church and the museum-studio on one side and the hospedería on the other. With a mixture of old-fashioned mobility and modern touches, a night in this parador will be marked by the seal of comfort and elegance. In addition, the cathedral and the Plaza de España are easily accessible.

Read moreThis hostel, which exclusively welcomes pilgrims from Compostela, is run by the Cofradía del Santo, a religious brotherhood founded in the 12th century. The hostel's facilities are distributed in two buildings: in the Casa del Santo, a beautiful 17th century palace, and in another building right next door with more modern facilities. In total there are more than 217 places available (143 in the new part of the hostel and 74 in the old part).

Read moreThe hostel is located in the former residence of the priest of the community of nuns of the Cistercian order. This 18th century building is located right on the pilgrimage route. One part is reserved for pilgrims, with about 40 beds, the other part functions as a guesthouse and offers 78 rooms, the great majority with private bathroom, for a total of 111 beds (the single rooms are only equipped with a washbasin).
