PASEO DE LA MEMORIA

This "Walk of Memory" is located in the Ribera de Abandoibarra Park, designed by the architects Javier López Chollet and Marta Dalmau. Along 3 kilometres of the ría, the old shipyards were converted in 2005 to accommodate a pleasant promenade lined with palm trees and lime trees, from which many sculptures emerge. Like an open-air museum, the site presents the works of internationally renowned sculptors (Rückriem, Tucker, Lüpertz) and great names in Basque sculpture (Chillida, Garraza, Zugasti).
