Bar in Bilbao serving felipadas sandwiches and pintxos.
Next to the Azkuna Zentroa centre, this traditional bar treats Bilbaínos with its "felipadas", delicious sandwiches made with anchovies, lettuce and hot sauce. Paco García, the owner of the bar, is happy to tell the story of the genesis of the house's flagship pintxo: it is said to have been prepared for the first time in 1955 by a certain Felipe, a member of a cuadrilla. From the next day, his companions began to ask for more "felipadas", until the small sandwich became a permanent part of the menu. At the counter, there are also many other pintxos to discover!
