The best tortilla in 2009 served in the Itxaso Cisneros bar in Bilbao.
With only a few tables and a large counter, this modest little bar could easily go unnoticed. However, it is a must stop to try the famous tortilla from Itxaso Cisneros, which has been awarded many times in various competitions. Itxaso Cisneros' tortilla won first prize in the national contest for the best tortilla in 2009! The tortilla is very tasty and is served in the form of a ración. It can be made with cheese and white ham or with vegetables and chorizo (the typical "paisana"), although purists will always prefer the classic tortilla de patata!
