Great beach known as Santiago, one of the most frequented of the Basque Coast that attracts many surfers to Deba

The large beach of Deba, better known as Santiago, is one of the most popular beaches on the Basque Coast. Its geographical characteristics have made it a kind of attraction for all those who seek rest by the sea, but it also attracts a good number of surfers! A little further on, Lapari beach can be reached by the Cárdenas and Pablo Sorozabal seafront promenades, which are veritable watchtowers over the ocean. About ten kilometres away, the Playa de Sakoneta offers a wild setting in the heart of the Flysch cliffs.
