One of the Parte Vieja's unmissable tapas bars: celebrity photos, press articles and numerous awards hanging on its walls testify to its deserved status as an institution! Manu Marañón, the current owner, inherited this maritime bar from his grandparents. Away from the fashions, he continues to prepare the house speciality: boquerones, these anchovies marinated in vinegar. Unmistakable: pintxo d'antxoas con crema de centollo (anchovies with crab cream) and jardinera, made with red and green peppers and onion.

A popular bar in the Parte Vieja offering a wide range of pintxos. As in most of the bars in the area, you will have to elbow your way to the bar and discover its specialities: foie gras fried a la plancha (reputed to be one of the best in the area), baked txangurro (spider crab), pancakes with mushrooms, txangurro, etc., or the surprising sea urchin cream. Practical for beginners: labels indicate the composition of each pintxo! Note that there are a few tables to sit at.
