LACE MUSEUM

Lace is a crucial part of Vologda's history and brand image. For five centuries, the most beautiful lace in Russia has been made here, woven by hand from bobbins. Naturalist motifs celebrate the nature of the North. The museum, very well designed, exhibits all sorts of pieces representative of this local craft: household linen, clothes, or those little placemats that Russian babushkas love to cover the televisions.
