VOLOGDA MUSEUM-RESERVE OF ART AND ARCHITECTURE

The 17th-century building housing the museum is located right next to St. Sophia Cathedral in the Kremlin. The Department of Regional and Natural History has a rich collection of stuffed animals and objects of all kinds related to the history of the region and daily life. Don't miss the superb wooden carriage lanterns and pieces of fine lace, and spend a few minutes in front of the painting depicting the Last Judgement.
