My second visit, this time on foot... just as stunning and an absolute feat of engineering. A must visit!

Fantastic piece of historic engineering. You will probably never see anything else like it. Take ride across in a canal boat or walk. Plenty of parking, nice place for a picnic. Well worth it.

Long way down.

Beautiful and very impressive. Lovely if not a little stomach churning walk across the aqueduct and then a gentle walk by the canal. You can also take to the steps and walk down to the valley floor and fully take in the vast scale of the structure. The walk along the river is fantastic, wild garlic is everywhere and the smell is amazing.
There are toilets and a visitor centre where you can buy hot and cold drinks, also a huge carpark which is £3.00 for the day.

Great day out

Not gunna to lie, the bridge was a little too high, especially when there isn't a lot of room to walk. Boat rides are little on the expensive side

On a narrow boat there is no alternative to taking the aqueduct. Good fun and spectacular views into the valley.

Very good for familly walk with dog. Cycling is another option. Plenty of thinks to do around kayaking, jump on boat for trip or just sit in local pub or coffee for drink its up to you. Defo recomend it. Try to avoid it in bad weather coz in strong wing its not easy to cross trought.

Had lunch at the church tea room before walking the Aqueduct. Bit nerve wrecking when someone is walking the other way. Views spectacular & well worth the experience.

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area, but not if you haven’t got a head for heights! It’s high and very open, but the views are spectacular!! Only a short walk from the car park along the side of the canal

Amazing canal boat ride. It is a great experience and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. It is great to have the canal boat trust here. It is worth going to visit if you like history, architecture and landscape views.
