Petit Futé's opinion on FFESTINIOG & WELSH HIGHLAND RAILWAYS
One of the biggest attractions in the region. The line is one of the most picturesque of the Narrow Gorge Railways. Since 2010, a major event, a second line has (re) opened: the one that runs all the way to Caernarfon. Through narrow gorges on the side of the mountain, the steam locomotive and its wooden carriages travel through fantastic and diverse landscapes to the grey valleys of Blaenau Ffestiniog or all over Snowdonia. Time travel!
