This small town, located south of Kagoshima, is worth a visit for its samurai houses and their beautiful gardens, as well as the museum dedicated to the kamikazes of the Second World War. The preserved samurai district, which dates back some 250 years, offers a beautiful excursion between nature, architecture and history. The 700-meter long street is very attractive and photogenic, with its stone walls and wooded hedges. It is worth noting that there are no electricity poles or parking lots to spoil the beauty of the view. This is quite rare and really pleases. Take a bus from Kagoshimachuo station (80 minutes) to get there.
