PEAKS OF MOUNT ASO

When you get off at the Aso station, between Uchinomaki and Miyaji, you will be heading to the Mount Aso youth hostel. From the hostel you can join the Aso-Nishi Cable Car (western cable car) which transports you to the crater of Mount Naka. From this crater, you can go down to the Sensui-kyō or join the road connecting Mount Thaka-dake to Mount Neko-dake in the east. The descent to Sensui-kyō will take you six good hours.
