This family museum offers a journey back in time. With a collection of more than 30,000 pieces, it presents a beautiful retrospective of the history of art. It is Hajime Watanabe, a doctor by profession, who, for more than 60 years, has taken pleasure in collecting all kinds of art objects, from samurai armour to swords, ceramics and pictorial works. The museum suffers from a lack of explanations in English, but the old-fashioned charm of the place and the plethora of objects deserve a visit.
