Mount Hinoyama offers a magnificent view of the Kanmon Strait, somewhat exaggeratedly called the "ten million dollar" view. This view, at nightfall, is considered one of the most beautiful in the archipelago. To get there, you have to take the cable car to the top. From Shimonoseki Station, take the Sanden Kotsu bus to Hinoyama Kokumin Shukusha and get off at Hinoyma Ropeway. If you decide to climb the mountain, allow 30 minutes to 1 hour.
