TOKORO MUSEUM
Opened in 2004, this contemporary art museum adds Omishima to the list of "artistic" islands in the Setouchi region. Built in front of the sea, in the middle of tangerine orchards, the building stands out with grace in this exceptional natural landscape. Works by American artists such as Noe Katz, Martisol and Tom Seeselmann, as well as Japanese sculptors Tadasu Hayashi and Takashi Fukai can be seen here. From its magnificent open terrace, the place offers a spectacular view of the archipelagos of the Inland Sea.
