This castle is the highest in Japan on a hill, 450 m high. Rather than defending the surrounding lands, it was intended to be inaccessible. The nights of full moon, the mass of the building becomes impressive. Built in 1240, it was rebuilt many times until its final restoration in the 1950 s.
