The temple houses a large five-storey pagoda, over 30 meters high, built in 1667 by the3rd Lord Nobuyoshi. It is considered the most beautiful pagoda in Tokoku. It was built during the Edo period using a nail-less construction method. It is designated as an important cultural heritage site of the Archipelago. Here again, the temple's cherry trees, which blossom in spring, provide a beautiful backdrop to the pagoda. In the same area of the Saisho-in temple stands a statue dedicated to Kukai.
