This shrine, founded in 1680 by the 29ᵉ feudal lord Shigenobu Nanbu, is revered as the guardian of the roots of human life: agriculture, trade, knowledge... Despite the fires that have damaged its buildings over time, the current shrine, rebuilt in 1997, shines with its bright red facade and remarkable sculptures. The largest shrine in the prefecture, it is a central place of worship and hosts the major autumn festival in September.
