Located in the heart of Shukunegi, minshuku Takayama is a traditional family-run inn nestled in a peaceful natural setting. Run by a local fisherman, the establishment houses five Japanese-style rooms and offers meals based on shellfish (abalone, turbos) caught in taraibune, the traditional Sado boat. Relaxing around the central hearth and sharing a drink are also appreciated. The local Hokusetsu kinboshi sake, labeled with the inn's name, is a typical souvenir. Excellent value for money.
