At 854 meters above sea level, Hachijo-Fuji is a cone-shaped mountain located in the west of Hachijojima Island. It is the highest peak in the Tokyo islands. It takes its name from the iconic Mount Fuji, which it bears a striking resemblance to. You can drive to the trailhead. There, 1280 steps await you. Keen hikers will enjoy the seven-hour walk up and down the mountain on the 14.5km trail from Sokodo campsite. The tour of the crater is spectacular.
