This museum in Yokohama explains the prodigious silk technique invented and maintained by the Indians and Japanese for centuries. The museum houses an impressive library of nearly 5,000 books devoted entirely to the world of silk. To show visitors the beauty and refinement of silk, the museum displays precious handicrafts such as kimonos from the Edo period and restored costumes.
