Central part of the park that offers a multitude of viewpoints and some technical hikes.
Kolob Terrace is the central part of the park. It is accessed from Virgin (via UT-9) via Kolob Terrace Road to Kolob Reservoir (2,450 m), 33 km to the north. This part of the park offers a multitude of views, especially from the scenic road to Lava Point. Koloa Terrace also marks the start of technical hikes, including the West Rim Trail. This 14.5-mile trail goes all the way to The Grotto trail. There is no need to hike it all, as the first few miles already offer great views.
