Time difference Las Vegas

Las Vegas is located between Arizona, Utah and California on the West Coast of the United States. The time difference with France is minus 9 hours.

The U.S. uses daylight saving time from the second Sunday in March to the first Sunday in November, while France applies this time change from the last Sunday in March to the last Sunday in October; this results in an additional time difference between the U.S. and Europe during non-overlapping periods. Unlike its neighbors, Arizona does not apply Daylight Saving Time.

Note : in the U.S., time is indicated by the letters AM(ante meridiem) for morning and PM(post meridiem) for afternoon. so 6:00 AM indicates 6am, and 6:00 PM indicates 6pm.

Opening hours Las Vegas

To see / To do Las Vegas

Whatever the season, Las Vegas is always packed with tourists and convention-goers. By Thursday evening, it's the party people who take over the city! As for the rest, Las Vegas is one of those cities that almost never sleeps. On the Strip, however, restaurants and bars have changed their hours since the Covid-19 pandemic. Indeed, with staff recruitment difficulties, many establishments have reduced their opening hours, closing between 11pm and midnight. The same applies to many bars. After that, you'll have to head for the nightclubs to extend the night. At restaurants, services between noon and 2pm and between 6pm and 8pm are often taken over by tourists. Museum opening times vary from day to day, but often close between 4pm and 5pm. Visit the relevant websites for details (precise opening times, closing days, etc.).

Enjoying yourself Las Vegas

As is often the case in the U.S., the first services take place around 5 p.m. and last well into the evening. However, while restaurants, particularly those in casinos, close between 11pm and midnight, kitchens may close around 10pm. Room service in hotel-casinos is generally available 24 hours a day.

Breakfast is generally served from 6:30 or 7am to 10am. Popular brunches start between 10 and 11 a.m. and run until 3 p.m.

For lunches, the hours are quite extensive: count on 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Beware, since the Covid crisis, many establishments have reduced their opening hours.

Reservations are highly recommended, especially in the famous casino restaurants. Reservations can be made by telephone or, more simply, on the Internet.

Take a break Las Vegas

Unlike some businesses, which may close around 9pm or even 10pm, cafés and tea rooms can be open 24 hours a day in Las Vegas. This is particularly true of those located in the casinos. Bar opening hours vary from one establishment to another. Some bars will be open 24 hours a day (especially those with slot machine gaming areas), while others may close between 11pm and 1am. Much has changed in Las Vegas since the Covid-19 pandemic. Some establishments are finding it difficult to recruit staff, and so have had to adapt their opening hours. As for entertainment and atmosphere, bars are often much livelier on Thursday to Saturday evenings, with live music and broadcasts of games from the four major US sports (US soccer, baseball, basketball and field hockey). Happy hours are frequent, usually between 4pm and 8pm, or even 3pm in some places.
