Service was excellent. Outdoor seating was great with incredible views. Food was fantastic. Excellent wine selection. If you are in La Jolla you need to give this place a try.
Stunning location, popular spot in La Jolla, particularly if you can sit on the rooftop on a beautiful day! The staff were attentive and professional. Food and drinks were served quickly and all was tasty. Multiple levels also offer indoor dining in a more formal atmosphere.
Amazing experience at this place. Fantastic view of the Pacific, great service, and good food. Loved the fish tacos. The high price was worth the entire experience.
Really great spot in a great location. They don't have a ton of vegan options. The ones that are there are just meh. Not super creative and not proper entrees.
I had a beer at the bar there and it was super nice. I just wish I could have eaten there. They had a couple things that were technically vegan food that you could order, but it was very uncreative and overpriced.
My wife and I wanted to visit this establishment.
We arrived at 3:30 and wanted a table by the window with an ocean view.
The receptionist said it would be possible after 4:00 or wait at the bar.
We agreed to wait in the bar, but the administrator said that you can't wait in the bar with a baby in a stroller...
We decided to walk for 30 minutes and come back.
At 4:00, when I got back, I approached the waiter again and asked if I could sit at a table and order food while my wife nursed the baby in the car?
The waiter asked how many people the table is for, I answered that for two, he said that I can't seat you at the table, you have to wait for your wife.
I explained that my wife is feeding the baby in the car, can I sit at the table while you bring my order, and my wife and baby come to me. The answer was no...
It looks kind of weird or am I missing something?
We didn't visit this place because of the strange rules.
Although the seats were not full, there were many free tables.
Wow, a great place to grab a drink and appetizer to watch the sunset! We sat at the bar. Server was great. We ordered 3 appetizers: focaccia bread, fried shrimp and chips with salsa and guacamole. All 3 of us were hungry, and the appetizers took care of us for another 3 hours before we had dinner. House Chardonnay was a little pricey at $24 for a small glass, otherwise all was great. And hey, this is a premium restaurant in a premium location, so I expected it to be pricey. The appetizers were very reasonably priced though. I would highly recommend.
Just wanted to share my recent experience, which was pretty disappointing. First off, the front desk wasn’t welcoming at all. We showed up right on time for our reservation, but when I asked for a table with a heater (since they only have five and it gets chilly at night), I was told no because those tables are for groups of four and it was just the two of us. Meanwhile, half the tables were empty!
Then, my steak order was a letdown. Asked for medium-well, got medium-rare and it was cold. They did re-cook it for me, but still, not what I expected. On top of that, they’ve added a 5% surcharge to the bill. Considering their prices aren’t exactly low to begin with, this just doesn’t sit right with me.
I used to like this place, but after this visit, I’m thinking it might have been my last time going there.
The roof deck has amazing views of the ocean. Great place for lunch. I didn’t get much to eat so can’t really speak to the food but this view makes anything taste better.
Can't beat the location.for sunset cocktails and dinner. Reservation HIGHLY recommended. Parking is always a hassle so just valet and be done with it.
The food was deliciously prepared. We did the Restaurant Week menu and it was a good deal - full portion sizes! The mussel appetizer and Airplane Chicken were great.
We booked this after many people told us it was great and it did not disappoint! My salad with salmon was so yummy and the fries were addictive. The host called us an hour before our reservation to let us know they were expecting rain on the upper deck during our reservation and were so nice about switching us to inside. We could still see the water from that deck and it made for a lovely afternoon.
The food was good, but the service, location, and view was even better! Our server was pleasant, charming, and accommodating. It slightly reminds of Montclair NJ, but with a beach. Beautiful town, La Jolla is. Would definitely go back to the town and restaurant.
