The place is shut down!

Canceled our reservation due to a "renovation". They said deposits would be returned in a week.
No deposit was returned. Ever. Wells Fargo confirmed this.
No one picks up the phone or responds to texts.
Finally got a text back two weeks later, and they lied again.
My husband and I used to love this place, back when it was owned by the original owners.
New management is unethical.
Don't trust them with your money.

We had high hopes. The room is fine enough- there’s a mini fridge which is larger than most hotel mini fridges and the bed is comfy. The description said the room opened to the pool which to me meant something different than what it is. The most important and unfortunate thing is that there are no pool umbrellas. We ended up buying a day pass to a Hyatt. Super bummer. All we wanted to do was lounge at the pool with quick and easy access to our room not surrounded by Hilton/Hyatt type families. Once the sun went down and we could enjoy the pool area it was cool. Dig the non corporate vibe. It’s quiet. That being said they say there is music playing to create a vibe and there isn’t.

Canceled our trip a few weeks before we were due to stay here due to a "major renovation". Apparently, that renovation isn't planned far enough ahead to give us a heads up before. Prices in Palm Springs went up significantly in the meantime, of course. Unprofessional.

We booked the Rendezvous as a buyout for our 2020 wedding anniversary accommodation mid-2019 and ended up postponing due to the pandemic until Easter 2023. It felt like a very long wait with management changes and friends dropping out and all kinds of stresses, but I'm here to say, that in the end it all came together: Friends who stayed here absolutely loved it, the rooms are enormous and the buyout was a dream - we had a poolside mixer with a fabulous local DJ (DJ Modgirl on Instagram, find her) and a local caterer, and Donald & Kathy were super helpful in sorting the access & facilities. The commercial kitchen & dining room were ideal for our purposes, especially with no staff on site meaning we could choose our own music and stay up super late without annoying anyone. We're so happy we chose the Rendezvous. I see it's up for sale now, it's almost tempting to get my friends to club together to buy it - if we lived in the US that might have been a plan!

Oh boy, my first review doesn’t seem to have stayed up. This property is ROUGH. We arrived and had issues finding our room as it was around this side of the building and not off the courtyard. The room looked okay by motel 6 standard. Although it did appear the door had been kicked in and had been replaced improperly. (See Photos) After bringing this concern via text because this property has no staff people physically available we were offered the honeymoon sweet which was far worse for the wear than our original so we chose to keep it, just figured we put the piece of a sectional they’d used as a ches in front of the door. Then at 10pm the power went out so we finally decided to leave. While packing up the car, neighbors who lived on the street told us this was a scheduled black out and they’d all been informed by the power company. No one told us. After requesting a refund the text help promptly agreed. It’s been almost three full weeks and we have not gotten the refund.

A very nice intimate hotel. I forgot Apple Watch at the hotel, I messaged the owner and they were able to find my watch. We came back and they kept it safe for me. Thank you so much we really enjoyed our stay here! Will definitely come back!

Germaine's poor review march 2023 was totally accurate. This place is deceptively advertised very shabby not shabby-chic!

BEWARE False Advertisement!!!!!! PLEASE DON’T STAY HERE. I first found this place back in 2019 Back then the hotel was clean, fresh paint, fresh sheets& towels, clean rooms and hotel grounds were overall well kept with friendly staff to greet you. There was so much charm not only to the hotel but the amenities offered like nightly happy hour with snacks and a delicious breakfast in the morning( which wasn’t “continental” but rather substantial). It’s an old place but that vintage vibe can be charming and back then it absolutely was. Unfortunately what was a little gem is no longer this place atrociously has gone downhill. I was fully embarrassed because I brought my partner here wanting to share the good experience I had previously and it turned into a disappointing uncomfortable experience.

Arrived on 3/18 and set to check out 3/20 but left 3/19 to another hotel where the cost per night was cheaper and accommodations much nicer. Would've left way earlier on 3/18, but we were trying to "trouper through", but I personally reached my fill around 1am when I wasn't unable to sleep due to being so uncomfortable. Unfortunately it left us in a tough spot as finding accommodations that time of the night would be impossible so we were forced to stay. Sleep what’s that because I didn’t get any at all due to an impossible to turn off bright light shinning into the room actually all around the property as there was no one on site at all.

I was extremely unhappy with the stay at the rendezvous I will never go back. I’ve used the text system and emailed the hotel for a refund and I’ve had zero response. So not only was i stuck with paying for a hotel I didn’t exactly stay in but no apologies from the hotel at all whatsoever. The positive reviews of how the hotel is now are complete false advertisement it’s actually down right catfishing. Below I will list major issues I had with the conditions of the Rendezvous.

Issues are as follows:
• A text system to “check you in” rather than an actual person. There was no staff on sight at all
• Strong bleach smell upon entering the room (Room #8 the “Silver Screen” Room) The bleach smell remained throughout the entire stay even with all the windows being opened and numerous sprays of perfume and room spray to try and mask the smell. Sadly all throughout the night the smell persisted and actually ended up giving me a headache.
• Stained and dirty towels hung up as new in the bathrooms
• Blanket on bed had multiple mystery stains as well.
• The light in the bathroom was so dim and horrible I could hardly get ready that night for dinner
• Overall, the hotel is run down and very unkept.
•sign in front is falling apart and down
• paint is peeling off in areas all over the hotel with lots of random unpleasant smells. Falling paint in an old establishment is actually a health hazard as much of the old paint in the past contained led and asbestos
• Found bits of fried chicken within the lounge chairs by the pool which were already covered with stains and dirt
• The Jacuzzi was dirty and water was cloudy and made me itchy. After dinner I had put my feet in water but it being dark I was fully unaware of what I actually put my feet into until the next morning. I was utterly disgusted when I saw what I had my feet in the night prior
• The lights outside of the room and all around the property were on all night we couldn't sleep, so at 1 am I walked around the property to see if I could turn it off myself but there was no luck.
• Left sink in bathroom drained slowly and clogged
• Shower water slow to get hot
• Clubhouse areas with many dirt spots and dangerous broken glass slider.
• overheard a convo about the cleaning people being angry they weren’t being paid on time and had to front cost to clean the hotel. Well I don’t even blame the cleaning people for not following any real cleaning standards because not being paid by a “hotel” contracting you to do so and they don’t or not on time is unacceptable.

We just finished our first stay at this hotel and had an outstanding time!! The pool and hot tub area was very cute and clean and the pool was heated, which was appreciated. There was a community kitchen open 24 hours a day stocked with supplies for cooking, keurig coffee maker with pods available for use, and an ice machine. Our room was clean and private, bed super comfy. Donald the groundskeeper was excellent and checked on us often to make sure our needs were met. Best part - the location! We were across the street from a liquor store and a 10 minute walk from downtown. Would absolutely stay here again next time we’re in Palm Springs!

We bought out the resort for our wedding and had the best time! We have stayed here on a couple of occasions previously and continue to be impressed with the service and uniqueness of the place! Can't wait to come back and enjoy another weekend here!

Big thank you to Donald for the hospitality, and history lesson. We stayed here for two nights attending a friend's wedding - which took place on-site and was incredible. Each room is a different theme, we enjoyed everything about the Route 66 room. The pool & jacuzzi were great. Such a unique place, hopefully they retain the character & charm with the upcoming major renovation.

My "now husband" and I celebrated our 3rd dating anniversary here. 2022 was our 3rd year here and our plan is to stay in a different rooms every year until we do them all! This time around we were accompanied by 11 friends and they loved it as much as we do. We will definitely be coming back for years to come! ????????????????♥️

Easy access, clean and adorable. We were in The Elvis or Shake, Rattle and Roll Room. The shower was on one side and the bathroom on the other, 2 people could get ready at the same time.

We recently stayed in Room #7, the “Pretty in Pink” room & I must say we absolutely loved our visit. What we loved the most about this establishment was that it was not a big, fancy hotel. It was kind of old & could use some updating but the fact that it was small, I think there was 10 or 11 rooms total, is what made our stay very comfortable & cozy. Almost all of the rooms have a jacuzzi tub for 2 in the room which was really nice. The pool area was cozy as well. At night we were out in the pool & hot tub then sat around the fire pit relaxing, it felt like home. If u are looking for a big, fancy hotel this isn’t the place for u. If u are looking for a hotel that is really cozy & feels like home go check it out, u will love it.
Halou

Cet hôtel se considère comme un B&B, je dirais plutôt un petit hôtel de qualité avec des chambres décorées avec goût. Une petite piscine ou il fait bon se rafraichir et un PDJ correct.
