Originally from Chicago, Intelligentsia is a concept store that mixes organic coffee and fair trade with a very modern design, thus attracting a fairly elitist clientele (hence the name of the coffee, perhaps). One of the first in the movement of the Third Wave Coffee Shops is always one of the best cafes in L.A. Pastries are perfect to accompany the taste of latte coffee as a espresso. We like the shady terrace at the entrance.
