Exceptional hotel located in a renovated setting in the heart of one of the most desirable areas of Los Angeles
Located in the heart of one of Los Angeles' most desirable neighborhoods, the Bel-Air is a true institution, having built its reputation with a distinguished clientele since 1946. After a two-year closure, the hotel reopened in 2011 in a renovated and even more enchanting setting. Here, everything embodies aestheticism, charm and luxury: the colonial architecture, the water features and fountains, the patios full of bougainvillea... As for the rooms and suites, they meet the requirements of a 5-star hotel. Exceptional!

The service is inexistent and useless; I’m still waiting for my water and hot sauce; they never checked on us, and it took them 30 minutes to take our order. You get more attention in almost any other restaurant.
But the food manages to be even worse than the service. My smoked salmon Benedict was just awful; I barely touched it (weird pieces of nerves, and they dropped some eggshells…). It gave me a stomachache too, so be careful. Other dishes were as bad as this one.
The price is outrageous, but any price would be outrageous, since the food and service are just terrible.
Again, it used to be a great place, but they totally dropped the ball, do yourself a favor and go to the Beverly Hills hotel instead if you’re looking for a fancy meal.
