I think this is about the best French restaurant in California or perhaps the US. This was not the intended destination, but my friend and I were extremely glad that we went, since we're Francophiles!! They feature classically French dishes, but also Italian, making it a bit of fusion cuisine. Okay, a mojito is not French, but it was one of the best I have had in a very long time! I stuck to French cuisine. Started with soup a l'onion. Delicious! A lot of gruyere and the right amount of onions, bread and soup. Next were the escargots in olive oil with a lot of garlic! Yum! Main course was the mussels! Those had to be the largest, most succulent mussels I have ever had! They came with fries, but you really didn't need them. I brought them home. Last was the Napoleon or mille feuille. Creamy! There were three layers: one with just the cream, second with strawberries, and the last with nuts. Wow! Never had one like that!
The proprietor was very kind. He brought us our drinks and was very kind when we spoke to him in French. Wait staff was very courteous and we felt no pressure to eat and leave. To show how good this place was, we ended up sitting next to a well known French actor. My friend recognized him first. They say that if people of the same nationality as the restaurant dine there, it's usually a compliment to the restaurant and a testament of the food. Well, that may be so, but we Francophiles will definitely be dining again at this restaurant! Merci beaucoup!
Good food, not terribly authentic to French cooking but tasty in its own right. Salads are nice, salmon cooked perfectly and the duck was crispy although a bit dry (a good sauce would have worked well with it).
Gluten free options are not marked on the menu, and best to ask.
A friendly, indoor-outdoor Paris cafe on the Sunset Strip. Excellent service, food and drinks. Excellent, free, large parking area behind the building.
Delicious. Solid restaurant for a business lunch, or a date night. Lots of classic French dishes to choose from. Staff are friendly. Feels like a throwback to what dining in LA must have been like in the 50s or 60s.
I am on a girls getaway weekend from Charleston Sc .We had a excellent time with the staff there yesterday afternoon. We had such amazing food & the staff was so friendly and helpful. When I come back next year I will be going back there
What a true gem of a restaurant. My wife and I were greeted warmly by the owner and given the choice of any table. Our waiter was friendly, helpful and provided excellent suggestions for our dinner. The food was fantastic and service highly professional. It was one of the best dining experiences that my wife and I have truly enjoyed in Los Angeles. We highly recommend Le Petit Four for a guaranteed exquisite dining experience. And the presence of so many local patrons are a strong testament to the consistency of the restaurant’s quality.
Grade B+ (88): We went there for dessert after going to Charcoal Sunset for dinner. The coffee was good. The Napoleon (Mille Feuille) was good, the flourless chocolate cake was ok, the profiteroles, I liked the cream. Not very impressed for those prices though. The Ambience was good, parking is easy and free behind the building (went around a couple of times on the street, then discovered there's plenty of parking in the back ????). Service is ok, and they automatically tip themselves well. I won't drive all the way there but if I'm in the area, I might drop by for a steak au Poivre and a Napoleon! ????
The seafood farfalle pasta is divine! It’s one of the best pastas I’ve ever had, including when I was in Rome and Florence. I can’t speak to anything else on the menu because I get this dish every single time.
A culinary delight! From the warm welcome at the door to the impeccable service throughout, our evening at this charming French gem was unforgettable. The Coq au Vin was a burst of flavor, perfectly complemented by the rich Bordeaux. The intimate ambiance added to the authenticity of the experience, making it a must-visit for any food enthusiast.
Love the mirrors. I've not had a bad time here or bad food! Though, with anything, there are ups and downs. It's a well-known spot, popular, and has been on Sunset for a long time. Casual. Lunchtime and early dinners are nice and quiet.
Great dinner while visiting WeHo! Hostest was great, also when I had questions about the desserts she brought the whole platter for me to see the assortment. Also, very much appreciated was the fact they are all made fresh in house! Highly recommend!
I like many this nice super restaurant Sunset Boulevard. Very warm welcome on behalf of Alex, Master of the places, rather short menu, with daily specials, beautifully presented, very affordable wine list, burgundy including...
Terrace, parking! (with L.A. that does not have a price...)
With a bit of luck, you can dine next to Jacqueline Bisset...
To recommend without hesitate!

You definitely get a welcome feeling here.????
