Can't beat this old school Deli food. Large portions and 'no fusion nuthin' traditional urban Jewish deli food!???? ????

Best pastrami in Los Angeles by far!

Heard it gets busy but it was not too busy for Monday lunch rush. Ordered a number 1 and could not finish it despite being super yummy. Mom and Pop dinner feel and the service was excellent and attentive.
This is definitely a special treat sandwich when you're dying for some meat.
Will definitely go back.

Nothing beats the #19. One of the best pastrami places around.

The Best Pastrami sandwiches on the West coast!!! I love good food, good service, and a clean restaurant. It has it all. However, the location may make you change your mind, but you shouldn't. Langer's is a landmark, and in my opinion, much better than one of los angeles' other over-rated landmark eatery ( I will not disclose). I love the friendly staff too. The menu has other delectable dishes it is a deli after all. I sometimes order breakfast or a pattymelt ( it's so cheesy ). If you do go, say hi to Frank, Sue, Kevin, or Lupe. All of the servers here are great! I don't know everyone, name...my bad. I only review restaurants, coffee shops, and retailers if they are the absolute best. And Langer's is in my top ten.

People who think this place is good probably need their heads examined.

I watched a YouTube video blowing this place endless sunshine, so I decided to take my family there. NEVER AGAIN.

We parked and walked a block to Langers. My 7 year old asked me why people were camping near the dumpsters and if someone had peed on the sidewalk. Both, unfortunately, were true observations.

In the restaurant, I ordered their Famous Numbered sandwich. 24 dollars. Each. That is correct. Was it worth it? NO!

The Ssandwich No. 19 is absolutely delightful! You simply can't resist the mouthwatering combination of pastrami, coleslaw, and Swiss cheese. It's a perfect blend of flavors that will leave you craving for more.

Of course this LA cult classic never disappoints with its #19 but also everything else was lovely! Parking was easy in their parking lot and our waiter was really lovely as well!

If you have not heard of the number 19 at Langers then you have not been listening. Run don’t walk to Langer’s and get the number 19 and thank me later.

What's not to love! Long time institution in Los Angeles and just the best NY style deli west of the Hudson river. The people who serve you are friendly/funny/able. The food.....WOW! The atmosphere is "old L.A.", in the heart of the city with seedy souroundings and no parking and long waits. But, worth it!

The hyped #19 sandwich sounded wonderful but the enticing deli plate of #12 Mixed Delicatessen (Corned Beef, Pastrami, Tongue) was just too powerful. Although everything was tender, the flavor of the pastrami seasoning really shined and certainly the juiciest of the three. Beef tongue was this sliced and the most tender. Corned beef was the least tender and least flavorful but still good.

It also included a side, got fries that came out hot with Russian dressing. The accompanying mix of veggies were a perfect match: raw radish, raw carrot, green and black olives, a dill pickle, several baby sweet pickles, and a piece of green leafy lettuce. Did I mention you get 4 slices of bread? Yum!

Service was slow, but it was a weekend lunch rush. The atmosphere was lively and felt like traveling back in time several decades in a good way.

PS free parking for 90 minutes at the Langer's Deli Parking Lot a block away.

If someone says better pastrami exists anywhere else I will throw hands. Langers Rules. Also really good fries.

I decided to try their classic Ruben and I'm so glad that I did. The pastrami was meaty, smokey, and so tender that you could just pull it apart. And the rye bread has to be one of the best loafs I've ever eaten. It was flavorful and soft but still had a great chew with a crusty exterior, my waiter said that is because their loaf is twice baked to get that texture, but whatever they are doing it is clearly working. My brother also gave a great review for his beef brisket dip.

The location across from. MacArthur park can be a little challenging but the deli has a parking lot about a block away and they will validate your ticket.

The dining room and restroom was clean and the staff friendly and attentive. Top marks.

What can one say that hasn't been said. The #19 is hands down the best Pastrami Sandwich. One might think there is too much going on, but you'd be wrong. Try it and enjoy the symphony of flavors that your palate will enjoy. I was skeptical myself and proven very wrong. My only response to my wife was: I think I could cry right now. There are many other items to choose from and various forms of the Pastrami Sandwich, so have at it.

A side note, I thought maybe it was too good to be true, so we came back a few days later. This time no tears just taste buds of pure enjoyment. I will now make every excuse to head down for this fluffy soft Rye bread sandwich & bring friends to share in the experience. Thank you for 76 years of hard work and continued service. I'm very sad I did not know about this place sooner.

Langer's definitely lives up to its name as a classic spot, with an interior and vibe that catch your eye right away.

I went for the No.19, and it didn't disappoint. The pastrami is in a league of its own - really something special. The sourdough bread was just as impressive, with its perfect crusty outside and soft inside. The mix of sourdough, top-notch pastrami, Swiss cheese, and coleslaw came together perfectly. It's clear why this place has such a good reputation.

Petit Futé a tout à fait raison à propos de l'ambiance chez Langer's Deli. Parfaitement conviviale. Ça nous a plu.
