This trattoria is steeped in tradition: no fuss, kitschy decor and generous portions. Above all, the pasta is homemade. We love the concept: you choose your type of pasta - spaghetti, pappardelle, pappardelle with spinach, fettuccine, fettuccine with spinach, rigatoni, gnocchi, capelli d'Angelo and fusilli - then the sauce to accompany it. From Alfredo to four-cheese, from puttanesca to carbonara, you'll find all the great classics of Italian cuisine. A real delight!

My family and I have been here skiing and enjoy the beautiful view of los angele. A hole on the wall for Italian food was at must ,,table for 6 , no reservations and We got the laundry special, for a place this old, management would care a bit more into detail,

I love this place. Very Northern Italian. I would say that it's the most authentic Italian place that I've been to in the United States. Their lunch specials taste like something my grandma would make. The dessert is also good.

This place had the most PERFECT pasta I've ever had. I mean, the sauce was fantastic too, but the literal pasta was beyond. Most of the pasta is made in house, from scratch, but even the penne which isn't made in house was top shelf--what I'm trying to say is that not only are the ingredients great, but the preparation is truly masterful. The pasta had the perfect al dente chew, a little over-thick compared to your everyday factory made pasta, and was alive with fresh flavor. You wouldn't think it to just see it from the street--it is kind of a hole-in-the-wall, but if you want to raise the bar by which you measure Italian pasta, this is a great place to do it.

We found this place by complete accident--we were just hungry after visiting the Griffith Observatory and had navigated to another nearby place, but... I mean, you know how parking can be. The curbs were already packed bumper to bumper, and there wasn't space in any of the lots we were passing. We literally just parked in the first open spot we found, and decided to give this place a try. It is a shame I'm only out in LA a few times per year, because I could eat here on the daily. Probably a little less of a fancy romantic dinner place, but fantastic for a more casual dinner or lunch.
