We went on a Sunday about 1:00 pm with some friends. I thought that missing the Sunday brunch would be better. We would miss the crowd an long wait.
The place wasn't busy when we arrived but there was only one server, that I could see. There was the busser and what I thought to be the manager.
We were brought water to the table but it did take a while to have the server come to us for a drink order. We ordered all at once.
I ordered Steak & Eggs -- Flank steak and fried eggs, served w/ garlic mashed potatoes. I found the potato choice odd. I should have asked for regular potatoes but I wanted to be adventurous.
If you follow my reviews then you'll know that I like a hot salsa. The bottle on the table didn't have a label but I think it was Cholula. I would have preferred a nice salsa to go over the eggs.
The steak was delicious, cooked just right. The eggs were good as well as the mashed potatoes, they still didn't go but they were good.
I don't think I'd go back. It was a nice lunch, the conversation was great, but this Kitchen was not welcoming to me.
I've come here a few times. The food is pretty good and service has been good inside. However, the last two times we have sat outside (and only times) service was not great. It took a while for a server to come to our table to order and also to get the bill. It seems that they don't check on patrons as frequent as inside.
Quality food. Trendy atmosphere. Comfort food selections. Mixed clientele. Great happy hour. Good prices. Friendly. Consistently good! Been going here for 20 years! And for goof reasons!
Would not recommend this restaurant. I ordered a cheeseburger, which was $17. Despite me ordering it medium rare, it came out well-done, which meant it was practically flavorless. The restaurant is small, dark, and kind of depressing. For these prices, it would be good if they at least had a free bread basket, but they don't. There are better restaurants in LA. I would skip this place. Although I can't really speak to the rest of the menu.
The staffing and spacing is tight; they provide very fast and kind service, really amazed at how much they get done, especially when it’s busy. The food is delicious—well seasoned, and feels like a homemade meal ????????
Thank you
A personal favorite for so many reasons! I’d had birthdays, job interviews, first dates, you name it. Food is always good, consistent and fresh. Stellar service, everyone is super friendly and accommodating. A neighborhood gem
Found this place as me and my boyfriend came down from Griffith on a sunday night.
He ordered the lemon chicken sandwich & I ordered the pork chop
Both tasted surprisingly good! My pork chop was not dry and the long beans were well seasoned. My bf’s sandwich tasted great as well and the portions are big.
Friendly service. Would recommend coming here for a good american comfort food
Stopped by in the afternoon for a work meetup. Got the Bruschetta. It was on point. Server was very attentive despite our lack of ordering proper food. Also the coffee was pretty good too.
The food here isn’t bad at all. I had an egg bake which wasn’t bad but to be honest I picked because nothing else stood out to me. My iced latte was quite good. Service is friendly. The ambience is lively. They have a midsized parking lot.
Don’t go here for the decor, but if you want excellent home-cooked food, this is the place. Our group had the chicken pot pie and the beef stew. Both were excellent. The highlight after the superb meal was the bread pudding.
We love this place. Never crowded but damn the food is SOOOOO good. We've been two times and I've gotten the best beet salad both times. So melt in your mouth. My wonderful husband got a turkey burger that he loved.
Parking is easy and it is so close to The Greek if you are headed there for a show. Yummy - will continue to eat here and recommend.

Mainly lunch items until 4, some drink items aren’t available at all yet still on the menu .
Service was slow but only one person serving so I don’t blame him
Overall food was as good & ambiance is ???? brick like style . Small inside and lots of choices on great wine !
Thank you
