I have been here probably 20 times. I love the atmosphere but what I don’t like are the sizes of the meals. Pasta Mare for 26 USD and probably the size of an appetizer. Adressed it to the waiter but no real follow up or small gesture. Sorry guys! Money is important but this is not ok.
I went here after a long day of swimming in the beach. Good food, albeit expensive but you know what you're getting into by getting food at Venice beach.
As we strolled up the 2 mile Venice Boardwalk, we swung into the Fig Tree for coffee and a bite. The banana bread was delicious, and coffee was good, but the people watching is phenomenal.
Saw one couple learning how to roller skate, saw a billion dogs, some that were too prissy to even walk on their own and had to be carried outdoors, ridiculous actually. Then there was no shortage of instagramers filming their life stories. Posing in gold chains, no shirts, and clothes 2 sizes too small and exposed way too much in public.
Ha- Enjoy...
Happened upon this spot walking down Venice beach, were seated right away, and the service was wonderful. Definitely recommend the guava and cheese pastry- so flaky and creamy. The plantains were excellent as well as a little morning treat. And the coffee was incredible. Staff was also very kind and accommodating
Stopped to get take out coffee and cake on a Sunday morning. The place was clean, staff friendly and helpful. Coffee and cakes were great. If you are ar Venice Beach give them a go.
A nice relaxing cafe right next to the beach that’s just far enough away from the Venice chaos. You’ll find the locals crowded here over any of the other touristy cafes on the boardwalk. They have nice GF options (the carrot cafe was delicious)!
Great location. Food is good but stops short of being great. Service is friendly however I was misinformed that they auto add a 20% gratuity to the bill (even after I asked) so I ended up double tipping. This is why the service gets three stars. Asked a simple question and was assured it was not added (without providing a printed bill) so after the payment was completed I discovered I had tipped twice when they printed the receipt. No bueno.
We were walking on the boardwalk and literally just found this place. Looked like an old shack from the outside with some crazy heavy sliding door. Once we walked in we were transported to a beautiful restaurant! The cocktail menu was so alluring as everything was something we’ve never had. If you’re into a sweet cocktails definitely get the rhapsody in red - I couldn’t even taste the alcohol. We got an app to share. The calamari was incredible but the smelt was super fishy. That’s not the restaurants fault tho. After sipping our drinks we decided on a second round and the cookie. The best restaurant a la mode I’ve had is with this delicious cookie. The nut favor really came through. Our server was so pleasant and had a lot of personality. The bathrooms were also clean and interesting. If we weren’t just visiting this would be a frequent spot for sure.
Went there for an early happy hour drafts and nachos. Place is right on the boardwalk, good service, IPA as draft beer, what else to ask. Would go there again.
The food was not worth the price. Served slightly cold (not sure why). Ambience is good since they have a beachfront outdoor seating. Wait staff were courteous although you need to double check the receipt. There's a nearby parking area for $9 (Rose Park)

Liked breakfast options. Mimosa was very light(not enough champagne “ but gin and tonic was very good!
Service is little slow, but the waitress team is very gentle and friendly (I believe there is not enough service or waitress for such a location)
A in all pleasant place to have a break/stop
10/10 overall experience
