FESTIVAL DU KHOROVADZ

Set in the wooded mountains of northeastern Armenia, at the foot of the beautiful fortified monastery of Akhtala, famous for the elegant frescoes of its main church, land foods are the focus of a khorovadz festival, which is becoming more and more popular every year. Chefs from Armenia, Georgia and other countries compete in a friendly duel of skewers, dance and music. One of the country's great folk festivals.
