Coming from Gyumri, before the sign indicating Artik to the south, take the road along the railway line from Gyumri to Yerevan and the Akhurian River, where a large reservoir marking the border with Turkey has been built, in the direction of Ani Pemza, to discover Yereruyk. In addition to the remains of an imposing basilica, the village offers a panoramic view of the Ani Plateau, the former capital of a thousand and one churches, now in Turkey, so close but inaccessible, unless you make a long detour via Georgia, because of the blockade imposed since 1993. Here, in a wild and mineral setting, several churches echo the splendour of the former capital.
