Day 1: Arrival in Yerevan

Arrival at Yerevan airport and installation in the capital, where you will reside for most of the stay. Walk on the streets of the city.

Day 2: Cultural visit of the city

Visit of Erevan and its museums.

Day 3: Holy Places and Archaeological Sites

Steps: Etchmiadzine, Zvartnots, Armavir

Visit of Etchmiadzine, holy city, with the seat of the Catholicos and its medieval churches. Further west, in the Ararat valley, the small lake of Aïguerlitch and the archaeological site of Medzamor, the memorial of Sardarapat, then Armavir and its colourful markets. On the way back to Yerevan, a stop at Zvartnots, near the airport, a vast rotunda-shaped church destroyed by an earthquake in the 10th century.

Day 4: Spiritielle excursion of temples in monasteries

Steps: Garni, Geghard

Morning in Yerevan, the afternoon short excursion to the temple of Garni and in the wake of the monastery of Geghard and its cave chapels.

Day 5: Hike on heights

Steps: Dzaghkadzor

Excursion to the mountain town of Dzaghkadzor and Ketcharis monastery. Hike on heights from the first section of the lift. Possibility to stay, summer and winter, in chalets scattered in the forests surrounding this town, 50 km from Erevan.

Day 6: Relaxing on the shores of Lake Sevan

Visit of Lake Sevan Basin. Tour of the lake, by car or by boat, relaxation and contemplation, possibility of staying there a few days.

Day 7: Day in the green vegetation

Steps: Sevan, Dilidjan, Haghartsin, Idjevan

Continuation of the excursion beyond the Sevan Pass to Dilidjan, the masterful gateway to Northern Armenia, covered with forests containing numerous monasteries (Haghartsin, Gochavank, etc.). Further north, towards the border of Azerbaijan and Georgia, follow the green valley of the Aghtsev to Idjevan. Possibility of accommodation.

Day 8: Visit of Haghpat and Sanahin monasteries

Steps: Alaverdi, Sanahin, Haghpat

Cape to the south from Noïembérian, from the Hemmed valley of forests teeming with forests teeming with fortresses and monasteries, including the most remarkable, Haghpat and Sanahin, classified as UNESCO World Heritage, near Alaverdi.

Day 9: Majestic peaks of Arakadz

Steps: Gyumri, Vanadzor

From Vanadzor, head west to reach the north slope of the Arakadz, majestic with its glaciers, to Gyumri.

Day 10: Stop near the Turkish border

Steps: Talin

Return to Erevan via Talin (beautiful cathedral and fortress remains), with a stop near the ancient basilica of Ererouk to contemplate across the river Akhourian marking the Turkish border, the ruins of the former Armenian capital Ani.

Day 11: Day shopping and relaxation in Yerevan

Relax and relax in Yerevan. Shopping (weekend at the opening, capital market).

Day 12: On pilgrimage roads

Steps: Khor Virap, Goris, Stepanakert

Discovery of the countryside and picturesque, via the pilgrimage site of Khor Virap and the monastery of Amaghou-Noravank. The road runs through wine-growing villages to Goris, a border town surrounded by fairy chimneys of ancient troglodyte houses, which commands access to Nagorno-Karabakh. With a visa granted to the Representation of Erevan, you can visit Nagorno-Karabakh from its capital, Stepanakert, where you will stay.

Day 13: Mountain Hikes

Steps: Gandzasar, Martuni

Visit the monastery of Gandzasar, north, in a beautiful landscape of mountains and forests. To the south, to Martuni, steppe landscapes evoking Iran.

Day 14: Return to Yerevan

Steps: Goris, Tatev

Return to Yerevan in 4 hours of road (with a good vehicle), a little more if you make a hook by the monastery of Tatev, 20 km south of Goris.

Day 15: End of stay

Departure from Yerevan.
