CENTRO STORICO

There are no medieval alleys in Vibo Valentia, but there are some beautiful buildings that are easy to find, given the small size of the town centre. These include some beautiful palaces, such as the sumptuous 18th century Palazzo Gagliardi, where Giuseppe Garibaldi stayed in 1860; the neoclassical Palazzo Alcontres, with a beautiful loggia; the Palazzo di Francia and its romantic courtyard, located in the upper part of Via Gioacchino Murat. The Marquis di Francia welcomed Joachim Murat here during his brief reign.
